Princess Cruises has long been recognized for their beautiful ships with exceptional craftsmanship, superb culinary treats, and exotic ports of call. Now there isĀ another great reason to appreciate the upscale cruise line: charitable giving.

This year Princess offered the inaugural Cruising for a Cause sailing and it was a huge success with a positive response! You know what they say…one good turn deserves another! And so it will be. February 10 – 15, 2014 Ruby Princess will play host to the 2nd charity cruise — Cruising for a Cause: Princess Has Heart. With a five-day Western Caribbean itinerary, this cruise will depart from Ft. Lauderdale and it will raise valuable funds exclusively for the American Heart Association in support of its mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
Heart disease is the leading case of death in men and women in the U.S. with one in every three deaths attributable to heart disease and stroke. Princess Cruise Line cares about the health and well-being of not only their employees, but also passengers and their families.
Ok, so how does this work? It’s easy! Book this special sailing and a tax-deductible portion of your cruise fare, ranging from $100 to $300* per person depending on stateroom category, will be donated on your behalf to the American Heart Association. Princess will match every dollar of these donations, up to $500,000. You will be provided with written acknowledgment of your donation for tax purposes.
