The holiday season is in full swing with decorated trees, twinkling lights, and bustling kitchens. With tradition in mind, Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament presents a Christmas Eve event to go down in history.

Medieval Times invites guests of the 5:00pm show on December 24 to join the cast around the castle’s fireplace after the show to enjoy complimentary cookies and cocoa with the Knights of the Realm and Princess Catalina. Lord Chancellor, the show’s esteemed emcee, will present a live reading of the holiday classic, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, before sending families on their way with visions of swordfights and sugarplums dancing in their heads, as they await Santa’s arrival.

Children ages 12 and under who are dressed in pajamas are admitted to the Christmas Eve show free of charge, with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots and with the purchase of a full-priced adult admission. All guests are invited to stay for the ‘KNIGHT’ Before Christmas post-show festivities and are urged to wear pajamas and bring their favorite blankets, regardless of age.

“Rooted in the traditions of knighthood, Medieval Times prides itself on rituals and keeping legends alive,” says Charles Padrick, Cast Manager for Medieval Times, Atlanta.  “Reading stories, enjoying cookies, and gathering around the fireplace are family activities often shared during the holidays. We see Atlanta-area residents as our extended family and invite them to celebrate the season with us and with nostalgia and spirit passed down by a 1,000-year legacy.”

In an effort to bring holiday cheer to those less fortunate, each Medieval Times guest who donates a new, unwrapped toy upon arrival to the show will receive a complimentary Souvenir Upgrade, including a Knight’s cheering banner, commemorative program, and one behind-the-scenes DVD per party. Donations benefit Toys for Tots, and toys collected on Christmas Eve will be warehoused to serve as a foundation for next year’s collection efforts.
